Detecting PSI: A Police Officer's Letter To PSI TECH

By PSI TECH Staff
March 7, 2003

PSI TECH has received an increased number of letters from law enforcement individuals recently. Some whose lives are affected by natural "psi" occurrences often find their way to PSI TECH's door steps. Confused and wanting to know why these events are happening to them, they seek our advice on the phenomena. In this issue of The Signal Line, we share with our readers our response to one of these common queries.

Dear PSI TECH,

I am a Police Officer and have had more (of what I call "visions") than I can remember. I have had them most of my adult life. The types of things I see are usually future events. I have learned somewhat to use this in police work. If I relax myself (this usually works better on the night shifts) and focus on getting a really good arrest (such as someone in possession of drugs) I very often can find one in a short period of time (usually within an hour.) I can actually 'feel' the arrest coming. I call it 'being in the zone.'

More recently, I knew something was wrong somewhere while on patrol. It was 2:30 AM. I called my wife and woke her up (I normally would never do this because she gets up for work at 8:00.) I told her I felt strongly that something was wrong and I was checking on her. She was okay. A few minutes later I was paged by an unknown number. When I called it was the hospital in my parents' town. My father was having a heart attack and it looked like he was going to die (luckily a new drug saved him.)

I reconstructed the incident and determined that the time I was getting the strong feeling was approximately the same time my father was 'crashing' in the ER. To me this is one of the clearest examples of what I seem to possess the ability to do. There are many other examples. Anyway, does my ability sound like a remote viewing skill, or something else? Thanks for your time!

Our Response:

Dear XXXX,

There is a real and logical explanation for your experiences. The basis for our explanation stems from a century old model of the human psyche discovered by Dr. Carl Jung. The practice of remote viewing is fairly new and it's definition has been largely polluted and derailed by the competitive market place.

Your ability "to feel" what's ahead or around you emanates from an innate function of your intuition/instinct at work. Yours has become developed to some degree and that is why you are able to do what you do now.

Technical Remote Viewing® is a young technology that was discovered only twenty years ago. Its unique differentiation is that it is a skill that is taught, learned and improves with practice. It is the method by which we can train our precognitive function to deliver up specific information on demand. In other words, taking control of that ability "to feel" what's ahead or around us about any topic and at any time. A good metaphor is language; we all have the ability to make noise with our voices but we are not able to communicate in a refined way until we learn a language. Technical Remote Viewing is the first language of that innate psychic function that we are all born with. Using the same language metaphor, you have learned "baby talk" on your own. It is a natural ability and it can be developed into a refined skill if you choose to learn TRV®.

Here is the collection of some of our past articles that detail the skill and there are true stories written by people with different experiences learning TRV: http://www.psitech.net/maillist/backissues.php

Please feel free to roam around our website, drop into our chatroom at http://www.psitech.net/chat/ and/or to email me again.

Thank you for writing. It is always a delight to assist people who work at traditional jobs and who find their way to our doors. By the way, we have a few policemen on our 14 member Special Operations team and several other trainees in law enforcement (literally) from all over the world who attend TRV University at www.trvuniversity.com.

Best Regards.

Sincerely,

Joni Dourif
PSI TECH President

What Is Bilocation?

By Joni Dourif, PSI TECH President
March 21, 2003

Bilocation is a word that any avid remote viewing researcher will come across and it is also an experience that all remote viewers have while implementing the TRV® protocols. Technical Remote Viewing® is still a fairly young technology, having only been introduced and put into use for twenty years, since 1983. We have had to develop new terms and definitions as this skill grows and becomes more popular to effectively explain how it works and why it works. Bilocation is one of those words that have been given new meaning by the science of Technical Remote Viewing and therefore it is often misinterpreted. I am continuing our series of TRV Public Education by explaining what bilocation means in TRV terms and what it does and how we deal with it. I am presenting this is a Q and A format using actual questions that we are asked the most frequently.

1) I have often seen the term "bilocation" used in descriptions of how TRV works. What exactly does it mean?

Answer:

In the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, it is defined as:

Main Entry: bi·lo·ca·tion
Pronunciation: 'bI-lO-"kA-sh&n
Function: noun
Date: 1858
: the state of being or ability to be in two places at the same time

In PSI TECH's TRV Generation II Dictionary, it is defined as:

Bilocation: The required mind state for accurate remote viewing to occur. The remote viewer's attention span is split in half so that half of the viewer's conscious attention is at the target matrix site and the other half is with the viewer tending to TRV structure.

Explanation:

In TRV terms it is quite literally being in two places at once. After the TRV protocols are initiated, the viewer's attention splits. One half of the viewer's conscious and unconscious attention is at the target matrix site (or the target blueprint in the collective unconscious) and the other half is with the viewer's senses tending to TRV structure. Bilocating in TRV structure induces a heightened sense of awareness referred to as "a state of high attention." This is the optimal mind state to effect the remote viewing process.

Some of the physical symptoms of bilocation are:

A) Pausing as if in a daze
B) Forgetting what to do next
C) Waving the pen in the air
D)Misspelling words
E) A disregard for the surrounding activities
F) Rhythmic rocking or tapping
G) Decreased eye movement and blinking
H) Forgetting common words and names
I) A Dazed look in the eyes
J) Decreased body movement.
K) A wavering walk

In the beginning of TRV training, one should not try to operate a vehicle until at least 15-20 minutes after ending a TRV session.

2) When in a state of bilocation, should we lose all perceptual contact with our present environment (i.e., the room we are TRVing in or even our bodies) and be completely absorbed in the target site?

Only half of your perceptual attention is in the room with you (in your body) tending to TRV structure and the other half is (or should be) exploring the target matrix site. If one half lessens or goes over more than 50%, then the viewer will begin to feel like they are "off target" or like the target has become an experience (and then you forget to collect data.) It is essential to maintain a 50/50 balance while bilocating. That is why the speed (cadence and pace) of the TRV structure is so important.

3) Sometimes I find myself in a daze after performing a session. Is this related to bilocation?

Yes, the dazed feeling is the hang over effect of bilocation. This feeling is most pronounced during the first few months while the TRV trainee is first installing and learning the TRV protocols. However, it does dissipate with time. The hang over effect never completely goes away (according to our empirical research) but it does begin to dissipate more quickly after one becomes accustom to the TRV structure and routine. Getting up, walking around, drinking water and writing your session summary helps to dissipate bilocation more quickly. We recommend not trying to analyze the TRV data until at least 20-30 minutes after ending a TRV session.

4) How do we effectively manage our attention to be focused at the target site, while another part of our attention remains attending to TRV structure?

We have found that the actual TRV protocols induce the perfect state of bilocation. The viewer must progress in a rhythmic type of cadence and speed, going from decoding the ideogram in stage 1 to the stage 2 sensory data and the kinesthetic contact of the Stage 3 sketch and then to the sorting of abstract data in the stage 4 table; all the while dealing with imagination and personal feelings according to the way TRV structure dictates. It's a perfect system.

5) Is there any way to "force" bilocation to occur?

We can induce a forced state of a 50/50 bilocation by adhering strictly to TRV protocols. There is also a more vague and less precise type of bilocation that is forced by using the Ultra Meditation and Brain Supercharger products (available at www.mind-tek.com.) These other states of bilocation are induced for various reasons such as passive learning, stress reduction, and/or relaxation.

6) People who utilize altered states or O.B.E. experiences do not write down information while they are in their mind states. Isn't that a more exciting and fulfilling experience?

Yes, there are people who practice OBE's ("out-of-body" experiences) who recount having thrilling and profound experiences. The OBE's were experimented with for Intel collection purposes in the department of defense before remote viewing protocols were discovered. The results were minimally successful because the person who had the OBE could not effectively recall the details and information that they were meant to gather on their data collection mission. They tried having a monitor sit next to the person while he or she was in the OBE state to document the data but the experience itself still often overwhelmed the OBE participant. The part of consciousness that sorts out information and places it into categories does not engage properly in an uneven state of bilocation; thus the OBE participant had no tool box to work with for data collection purposes.

7) After about 12 level 1 targets, during an S3 sketch, I began seeing an image to the left of my vision, which later turned out to be a darkened piece of an arch way. I'm not sure if this was the beginning of bilocation or something else? After doing a few movements, does bilocation slowly creep in and does it stay there until you consciously make it go away?

The process of the TRV induced state of bilocation is the mandate to collect information using all of our senses. That includes, visual, smells, sounds, tastes and kinesthetic contact. However, we are also dealing with the other 50% of our conscious state that is suppose to be tending to TRV structure. When we slip out of TRV structure, (this usually occurs by slowing down) imagination and judgment begin to infiltrate the data collection process.

Signs of infiltration are:

A) Slowing down
B) Trying to discern if you are "on target" or "off target"
C) Worrying about being wrong or right
D) Questioning the outcome of the TRV session
E) Trying to guess what the target is
F) Becoming creative with the data
G) Persistent distraction of external stimuli
H) Continuous engagement of personal feelings
I) A feeling of knowing what the target is

(All of the above stated symptoms of infiltration occur while the remote viewer is remote viewing.)

8) When bilocating, are we actually "going" anywhere?

This question is often asked by RV researchers and RV novices. When we are exploring a target via TRV, we are directing our attention to a specific blueprint (or topic) in the collective mind (or The Matrix.) As we initiate the TRV protocol and become bilocated, we begin to sense the target, smell the target, hear the target and see fleeting images of the target, as well as kinesthetically feel the target. We can actively experience the target while we passively document its data. We do not actually "go" anywhere even though at first it may feel that way. As we learn how to manage our attention, we become accustom to the feeling of bilocating only the required 50%.

It is difficult for a non-TRVer to understand this process because it is very much like trying to explain what it feels like to swim or ride a bike. One does not really know about swimming or riding a bike until one has had the experience. It is difficult to explain TRV also because there was not another method like it beforehand, so there is no comparison or template to fall back on. This is why there is the continuous necessity to separate remote viewing away from the rest of the parapsychological and psychic processes. The ideas of TRV were scattered throughout the fields of psychology, philosophy and parapsychology but it wasn't until 1983 that these idea were formulated into a breakthrough method that created a teachable system that any person could learn: Technical Remote Viewing.

That's all for this week…

The Resurrection - Fact Or Fiction
A PSI TECH V-ZineSM

By Kimberly Snow
April 11, 2003

Kimberly Snow
At the one year point in my TRV® training, I sat down at my dining room table and prepared to do the newest PSI TECH Target of the Week. I was a relatively new PSI TECH student of Technical Remote Viewing®, but with the combination of Joni Dourif's patient guidance, and my continual practice, I had become a consistent remote viewer, having my share of good solid 'hits' under my belt.

From Sting To The Pope

The Target Of The Week (TOTW) was a blind target posted each week, which students then TRVed, posting their session results on PSI TECH's online bulletin board for feedback and critique. The targets were varied, ranging from esoteric targets involving unsolved anomalies, to simple calibration targets involving known places, people, and events. These latter targets were given to insure that students were staying in structure and on target, as the feedback was known and immediate. Some of the more recent TOTW's at the time included the singer/songwriter Sting, the pyramids of Giza, the Mozambique flood rescue efforts, and the Pope. The target I was about to remote view could be anything.

The students never know what the target is until after their session is posted and they are given feedback. Until that time, they are simply given a random eight digit number, called a Target Reference NumberTM, which has no connection or significance to the target itself and is merely used for administrative purposes. And so with pen in hand, I noted the time, 12:53, and began my blind Technical Remote Viewing session.

It wasn't long before I had produced my ideograms, decoded them, and was gleaning raw data from the Matrix on my target.

I Felt Nervous And Breathless

Technical Remote Viewing works by moving from the general to the specific. As the session began, I got data that the target was inside, where it was flat and low. There was a grating, grinding sound and the colors brown, red and yellow were associated with the target. I had data that the target was "like skewered", and intangible data of "destroying" and "stay back." I immediately felt nervous and breathless, and declared my emotions as protocol demanded, waiting for them to dissipate before continuing on. The feeling of being breathless and agitated, however, did not dissipate, and so I decided it was best to take a break.

When I resumed, I began to explore one aspect of the target site, which I described as an "event". It was white and bright, and I had an Analytical Overlay of "searing light". There was data of luminescence, airy, gaseous, hot and rushing with a hissing sound. My emotions were refreshed by this aspect, and it came down from high above. As it descended, I sketched it as a beam of light, beginning at a point high above the earth and radiating out as it descended, like a massive flashlight beam, down to Earth's hemisphere. The Intangibles of "coming down", "washing over" and "forgiveness" were primary intangibles associated with this white light, and I perceived an emotion emanating from the light of "loving". I also had an Analytical Overlay of "grace." At this point I declared my own emotions of "joyful" and "tearful". But not only did I feel these emotions, they literally swept over me until by the end of my Stage Four I was in tears. I had to take another break, for the tears in my eyes were blurring my vision.

More Powerful Than Almost Any Other

What was this feeling that had overtaken me? What was this sensation that was welling up inside of me--that I could not shake, try as I might? I suddenly felt like a child, being embraced by a parent whose love was so powerful, whose grace and benevolence so great, that all that I had done before that moment in my life paled in comparison. The light was beautiful, effortless, perfect. It was a mercy I had never felt before, and it washed over me with such a cleansing feel that my tears became tears of shame. It was the unequivocal feeling of being forgiven; a feeling I have come to learn is more powerful than almost any other.

But the session was only halfway over. I knew if I was to get any data that would be of use, I must get over my emotions and dive back into the session fresh and alert, with no assumptions about what the target might be.

At 1:17 I had wiped my tears, collected myself, and plunged back in. I began with an exploration of another aspect of the target site. This was a grouping of round, undulating lifeforms. The colors white, black and red were associated with them. I had the perception that there were two different kinds of lifeforms in this grouping. The first were humans. The second was a different group, soft, feathery, sweet that undulated. I had the Analytical Overlay of both people and angels. The human lifeforms were sad and angry. There was the Intangible of yearning, and they were looking up, watching this event, this incredible white light source that was beaming down to the target site.

I Sat Stunned As I looked

By the time I had finished the session and wrote end, I was exhausted. I felt as if I had been through an emotional event of such magnitude, that it left me drained and deeply introspective. For fifteen minutes after ending the session, I sat in awe of what had transpired, wondering what the target was and why I was still sobbing. Thoughts raced through my mind. Memories washed over me. I thought of my beautiful mother, her unconditional love, her kindness and vitality, and then I thought of the day I realized she was gone and would never come back, that she had been taken from me when I was just a teen. And then I thought again of her by my side, running a cool hand along my cheek, drying my tears and holding me once more. This is how the session had made me feel. As if I had possessed something that filled my heart with love, then lost it, then found it once again.

It was several days later, after posting my session on the online classroom bulletin board with the other students, that Joni revealed to us the cue: Jesus of Nazareth / Resurrection Event.

I sat stunned as I looked at the cue. All of the emotions that I had felt during the session came flooding back to me once more. The love. The grace. The forgiveness. The sadness. It wasn't just a myth, a story in a book written by men, as I had once believed. The resurrection was a real event, involving a massive and powerful light source from above, that filled the space it occupied with a love so strong that it had brought me to tears.

A Life-Altering Moment

I spoke with other students of TRV who had similar experiences with that particular blind target. One viewer, Dolores, said that when she saw the feedback for the resurrection event TOTW, she too was amazed. She writes: "I was so impressed with the coinciding data from my fellow TRVers that participated in this TOTW. I am still doing TRV today because of the effect this session produced on me. Some people may think this is perhaps not a true event, it is a story or whatever, but because our TRV descriptions fit the narrative -- as I know it-- I was really impressed. We were describing what actually happened!"

It was an unforgettable experience for me. It is uncommon for a Technical Remote Viewer to "feel" the emotions and events of the target he is remote viewing. TRV is a data collection skill, where the mind merely perceives target data from the Matrix, using rigorous military structure. The protocols were specifically developed to help prevent the viewers' own assumptions and emotions regarding the target from tainting the flow of data. But every so often a viewer views a target so powerful, so intense, that the viewer "feels" the event. It is rare, but when it happens, it is an unforgettable experience.

From Belief To Knowing

It was a life-altering moment for me. While I had almost always been a spiritual person, I had never adhered to any one particular religion as I continued on a seemingly endless search for truth in matters of the heart and soul. But in one afternoon, my wavering faith in a higher intelligence was not only solidified, but also turned into absolute resolution-- changed from "belief", to knowing. I have never questioned that faith again.
